Circe by Madeline Miller
5.0
A rollercoaster of a book, and hands down the most beautiful thing I have read since... well, Madeline Miller's first book back in 2015. In all seriousness, on rare occasions there come such books that leave you changed in some minuscule or grand way and Circe is one of them. Now that I am done with it, I want to keep it so close to my heart that it becomes part of my body and my soul. It is like a treasure that was right under my nose and I am only now finding it.
There is no comparison to be made between me and Circe (lack of divinity and all that), but I relate to her, to her exile. I will forever think of the word endurance when I think of her. If nothing else, we must endure. Much love to you, Circe, and thank you for the lessons.
