His & Hers by Alice Feeney
3.0

Whoa! I tried Daisy Darker by Alice Feeney, and I already had high expectations for this one, but I can say that His and Hers was even better. The best parts include its intricate plot, unreliable narrators, and a dark, suspenseful atmosphere that keeps readers engaged until the very end. It was as dark as a scary movie, and I really enjoyed it. The short chapters and tight narrative made me finish it in one day. I love Feeney’s work, and I feel her writing is underrated. Plus, I found a subtle theme of childhood bullying, similar to Daisy Darker. The final reveal is a masterstroke that ties together the multiple layers of the story, leaving readers questioning everything they thought they knew.
