I read this because everyone around me has, if a girl in my class didn't give me the book to borrow I wouldn't have read it. Going into it I was expecting to revalue my life but this was the most average book I've read. Where it was bad in some parts (mediocre writing) it made up for in what is a good message. Nothing for me has changed, and I more than likely I will not read the second book having the only emotional connection in this book be not with Lily (who it did of course at parts, I'm not heartless), but Atlas. I wouldn't care it a tsunami took out everyone else.
