A Dog's Journey by W. Bruce Cameron

5.0

"Loving humans was my ultimate purpose."
Despite not seemingly being actually and physically possible, I do believe that this book may have been sadder than its very own predecessor.

For me it was the fact that I had shed my first tear before I was even past the 30 page mark. Like what , how can it be that sad already... seriously why?

I think the fact that 'Bailey' got to stay with CJ through the whole of her life, unlike Ethan was equally heartwarming and heartbreaking. I know that Ethan would be proud of his dog for looking after his granddaughter. He was so much wiser in this book yet Bailey putting his trust in others and still helping people as he went through life was beautiful.

I do believe this book had the perfect ending and despite knowing their is a third book - I will choose to view this as the true ending to Bailey's story.
