While I enjoyed some of the changes made to the original Macbeth storyline, I didn’t like how this makes lady Macbeth out to have accidentally caused things to have happened. It was pretty evident in the original Shakespeare Macbeth, that Lady Macbeth was power hungry, and pushed Macbeth to kill the king whereas in this retelling Lady Macbeth comes off as more of a naïve innocent who just happens to cause several deaths.
