๐Ÿ’ญA Masterpiece That Killed Me (Literally)

This book, yโ€™all. THIS. BOOK.
"Paint It All Red", the grand finale of the Mindf*ck Series, had me gasping, crying, and pacing my room at 2 a.m. because there was 'no way' my heart could handle this level of brilliance. If you've stuck with Lana Myers and her deliciously dark revenge tour, you already knowโ€”this series doesnโ€™t just stick the landing, it swan dives straight into your soul.

First off, can we talk about Lana and Logan? The queen of calculated vengeance and the cinnamon-roll FBI agent? Their love story is pure fireโ€”passionate, emotional, and surprisingly tender despite all the... bloodshed. The way Logan loves Lana, even after the truth comes out, is EVERYTHING. Heโ€™s not just swoon-worthy; heโ€™s the literal blueprint for unconditional love.

Now, letโ€™s give some love to Hadley and Jake because HELLO, couple goals! Hadley is such a badassโ€”smart, determined, and unflinchingly loyal. Jake? A sarcastic, cinnamon roll of a man who hides his soft heart under layers of snark. They deserve a spin-off series or at least a short story where we see them fighting crime and falling deeper in love.

Side note: Can we give props to S.T. Abby for crafting one of the most satisfying revenge plots ever? Every villain got exactly what they deserved, and I was cheering Lana on every step of the way. The small-town vibes, the layers of secrets, and the raw, gut-punching emotions made this book unputdownable.

And THAT ENDING. I wonโ€™t spoil it, but it was everything. The final showdown? Intense. Lanaโ€™s moments of vulnerability? Heartbreaking. And the epilogue? Perfection. I was crying tears of joy and relief.

๐.๐’.  If Lana Myers isnโ€™t one of the most iconic anti-heroines in dark romance, I donโ€™t know who is. Watching her unravel her trauma, serve up justice, and fall head over heels in love was the kind of emotional rollercoaster I didnโ€™t want to get off. Logan? Certified book boyfriend material. Together, theyโ€™re the chaotic, morally gray, justice-fueled power couple of my dreams.

๐.๐.๐’ The Mindf*ck Series is the ultimate binge-read. Itโ€™s got everythingโ€”gritty revenge, heart-pounding suspense, complex characters, and a romance so achingly beautiful it might just ruin other books for you. S.T. Abby didnโ€™t just write a series; she crafted an experience. If youโ€™re not ready to question your morals while falling for a serial killer and her FBI lover, donโ€™t bother starting. But if you are? Welcome to the dark side, babe. We have vengeance.

Paint It All Red isnโ€™t just a book; itโ€™s an experience.
Dark romance fans, this oneโ€™s for you.

๐Ÿ”ธ ๐‘ญ๐’‚๐’—๐’๐’“๐’Š๐’•๐’† ๐‘ธ๐’–๐’๐’•๐’†๐’”:

"Love is not supposed to be beautiful. Itโ€™s supposed to be a raw, gritty struggle that forces you to face the most vulnerable parts of yourself, so that when the good times come, you can savor and enjoy them, fully appreciate what theyโ€™re worth. Otherwise, you take it all for granted."

โ€œThere wasnโ€™t a time in all these years that I questioned what Iโ€™d do for him since failing him so terribly when he was still alive. I took him for granted. I took what we had for granted. I never realized how very fucking rare it all was or how quickly it could all be gone.โ€

"Real love? The kind Lana gave you? Itโ€™s the kind of love that looks beyond oneโ€™s offenses against others and only calls to the soul. Lana saved a child. Lana risked everything to save you. Lana saved countless women by killing Plemmons. Yet you still view her as a monster by not meeting your generalized populous version of morality. In your eyes, itโ€™s better to forever be the victim than to ever feel peace again, because a real monster might die at the hands of someone who wonโ€™t show mercy.โ€

"I thought the worst thing I could do was go insane from the dark depths I had to reach. Turns out, falling in love was truly the worst. The darkness is just my twisted little friend."

โ€œIโ€™m still the twisted monster of the night, while youโ€™re the honest hero in the light.โ€

"They took turns cooking, and they cleaned together. No one was ever more important than the other.โ€

"I didnโ€™t realize until she was gone that nothing else mattered at all.
Nothing I stood for was worth more than her.
Nothing I valued held any true value at all.
Everything I have is pointless without her."

"I just wish I had realized how little the rest of the world meant to me post-Lana before I lost her. I could have been with her right now. The two of us could have survived that firestorm together.
Instead, I let her think my career and morals meant more than she did.
I was wrong.
Nothing else fucking matters but her."

โ€œI decided if I could choose anywhere in the world to be, itโ€™d be wherever you were,โ€ he says before he kisses me, silencing whatever girly, swoony thing that would have come out of my mouth."

"Lanaโ€™s unique, and I wouldnโ€™t change anything about her. Because now I see the world the way it really is, and I know my only place is right by her side."
