Wickedly Yours by Jennifer Chipman

wheezing blinking sighing throwing hands in confusion 🫠👻💔

I was so hyped for Luna and Zain’s story after Spookily Yours, but wow… this one missed the mark for me. The romance kicked off way too fast, felt insta-lovey to the max, and the conversations between them had major Wattpad-but-not-in-a-good-way energy. The writing just didn’t click—it leaned juvenile, and I found myself skimming more than swooning.

Plot-wise? Super surface level. There wasn’t much happening outside the romance, and even that felt rushed. The emotional payoff I was waiting for never really landed. That said, the demon world side characters were fun, and the sister dynamic was probably my favorite part. Also loved the cameo from the couple in book one—it gave a flicker of the charm I remembered.

Big thanks to Colton Woods and Isabelle Turner for breathing life into this story—their narration was the saving grace. The plot didn’t always hold my attention, but listening to their voices helped me power through. Definitely owe finishing this one to them 🎧👏

This wasn’t the worst book ever, but after all that anticipation, I’m definitely feeling a little let down. Still debating if I’ll give this author's other books a shot... never say never 🤷🏼‍♀️
