debyik 's review for:
The Mysterious Island
by Jules Verne, Caleb Carr, Jordan Stump
An escape by a hot air balloon, a crash landing on an island, and a bunch of hard-working, resourceful guys, and it was a good thing there was an engineer who seemed to know how to do everything. I thought it was fun, exciting, and a little predictable yet mysterious at the same time. I love that we get to learn things along the way as we get lost in the adventure of the story. The dog, Top, and Jupe, the Orang are also great characters! The reveal at the end was amazing!
I am so glad to find another Jules Verne book that I love since I was so disappointed by 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, which is actually the second book in the Capitaine Nemo series. I will need to find the first book, in Search of the Castaways.
