This book was difficult for me to follow the storyline. The themes did not flow smoothly and the story did not transition well into the next - it was as if the scenarios jumped around without explanation. Rinaldo (Aldo) and Charlotte (Regan) are a very intense couple but they do truly love each other. I did not enjoy this style of writing - especially how a narrator all of a sudden was injected into the story. It is a cerebral book.
