5 stars. Fucking excellent. Tongue-in-cheek critique on capitalist office practices and somehow still poetic? Exactly my kind of book. However, there is one scene that needed major rework re: consent - see below for notes.

Gerald is uploaded into his office's Slack channel. A PR crisis preoccupies his team. One employee only hears howling, wherever she goes. Two other employees begin a secret romance. Kasulke hooked me with this book and I couldn't put it down. A compulsive and thoughtful read on human consciousness in the digital age.

TW: consent -
I was also unsure, as seem to be many other reviewers about the issue of consent with Pradeep & Slackbot having sex while Slackbot was occupying Gerald's body. IMO this is non-consensual/rape. Having it turn into a romantic angle was...a choice. I loved the idea of the romance, but not how it originated. Take care with how you read this scene, and how it impacts your experience of the book.
