The reason I enjoyed Reunion in Barsaloi is because I have read and enjoyed the previous books (this is my 4th book from the author).
Otherwise, it would feel a bit boring since there is not much action. But given the circumstances, it was interesting for me to read about the author's reunion with her ex-husband.
