Grave Sins by Jenna Maclaine

4.0

Cin's story continues years after the events of the previous book, with the Righteous being summoned to investigate a vampire queen that's supposedly gone crazy.

The bad guy was pretty obvious to me from the start and I got pretty frustrated waiting for Cin and the others to put the pieces together.
SpoilerThere are three possible suspects but you dismiss one of them just because she appears to be stupid as a rock, even when you yourself have used the ditsy female routine to confuse people and get your way? I just found this profoundly idiotic and couldn't help but be annoyed with them after a while for not even considering that it might be an act
.

To be fair Cin admits that she's distracted by the first serious friction in her relationship with Michael, and the things don't get any easier with the
Spoilerresurface of the dark powers she's been suppressing
.

There's action, a realistic love story with its problems and an interesting world that I enjoyed revisiting.

Next in the series is [b:Bound By Sin|6453485|Bound By Sin (Cin Craven, #3)|Jenna Maclaine|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1312057589s/6453485.jpg|6643703] where hopefully we'll get some answers about the big picture that's been foreshadowed.
