The Lost and the Found by Kevin Fagan

5.0

This was an excellent audiobook.

Typically I share short reviews on my ig stories of audiobook because it's harder for me to retain information in this format, but this was too great to not fully review.  I can’t believe there are only 40 reviews on storygraph!

This hyper focused journalism was a great way to shed light on the homeless and addiction situation in San Francisco. This follows Rita and Tyson before, during, and after their experience living on the streets.
I've not only worked in the tenderloin with this community (after becoming sober myself) but l'm close with people now who have experienced addiction in the same streets. I'm really grateful that Fagan's closely reported story has not only humanized this community that we, quite literally, step over, but also that he showed such incredible empathy with it.

A must listen. Or read.
