Moonlight Scandals by Jennifer L. Armentrout
5.0

When I first heard that we would get to read about Devlin’s story, I was ecstatic because I wanted to know more about him. In the first two books of this series, which can be read as stand-alone, you get little glimpses of him, but you don’t really get to know him. And what you do get is not very good. I mean, his nickname was “the Devil.” Judging by that, I wanted to know more about him and what made him make the decisions that we read about in the other books.

Moonlight Scandals is the story of Rosie and Devlin. Rosie and Devlin are both very strong-willed characters and do not let anyone tell them what to do. Rosie seems like she has an inclination to do the opposite of what someone will tell her. She doesn’t care that Devlin has all this power and money that is attached to the De Vincent name. She stands up to him like nobody he has ever met before. He loathes it. He loves it. He isn’t sure how he feels about it or her.

Neither of them will admit that they how they feel about each other or that they need one another. It takes the secrets coming to light to do that for them. This book has some big surprises in it that I did not see coming. It kept me in suspense from beginning to end. I felt a whole range of emotions when as I was reading.

I should have known that Armentrout would have put something like this in the final book. I have been a fan of her books from the beginning and this being her 50th book is a testament to the quality of the author that she is.

Now I want beaded curtains or glow in the dark stars so I can think of Devlin when I see them.

I was given an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
