I just binge read this book in less than 24 hours and I have found myself a new favorite, fictional PI! I’ve already requested the next two in this series from the library. Roxane Weary is a flawed but likable heroine who finds herself in the midst of a very tangled mystery. Hired by the sister of a man on death row for killing the parents of his girlfriend, who went missing at the same time, Roxane is on the hunt to find the missing woman. What she starts to uncover are more missing or dead women.
Still reeling from the death of her cop father in the line of duty, Roxane is a bit of a hot mess but she is good at finding things. I could not turn the pages fast enough and I can not wait to read the next entry in this series.
