Did not finish book. Stopped at 79%.
This was horrible horrible horrible horrible. It was explicitly racist, with a white savior arc, and it was fairly misogynistic as well. Also, it demonized mental health treatment. But the reason that I had to quit was because of the terrible scene with Slick near the end of the book. I couldn't do it anymore. It was so so so gross too, and I felt like the author was just going to keep using this as a gross out factor.
