It takes a lot to get me to DNF a book but damn did this book do it. I tried so hard to get into it and like it cuz its been so hyped up on social media. I even took a break for a few days and came back to it. I just can't do it though. This book is trying to be too many things. Its trying to use all the tropes and be in all the genres to the point where it just becomes bland, generic, boring, and feels like a cheap copy of better books. Honestly I'm not convinced that it wasn't at least partially written by AI because of this. I love me some good tropes and all, but there is just no character development, no plot development, its boring and even the writting itself is lazy. I have no clue how its gotten so popular because there are so many better options out there that deserve it so much more than this. 
Also there's def a power imbalanced relationship and it feels icky.
(Also not that this has anything to do with the book itself but the cover art is 100% AI. Just look closely and its easy to tell. It just gave me lazy vibes from the start and isn't a good first impression on your readers.)
