I've always loved the idea of reading Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, but the reality didn't quite live up. I was gifted this beautiful edition, that I am so grateful for, back in 2016 and it's taken me the best part of three years to finish reading it.
My issue is the language. Much like in school, I've struggled to keep my focus on this book due to the language of the time it was written in. My brain is obviously not built to comprehend classic literature. HOWEVER... When I was engaged I found myself loving the story, and you cannot deny that the original illustrations aren't beautiful.
Also, the foreword from Vivienne Westwood in this edition is just perfect!
