A Touch of Darkness by Scarlett St. Clair
5.0
When I first opened Touch of Darkness I wasn’t sure how the narrative would unfold. I didn’t like that it was single-perspective and was suspicious it was going to be an abusive Fifty shades of gray dynamic only set in the realm of the gods. So I stopped reading after chapter 3.
Then I came back to it, wanting to finish it. And wow, I was wrong. I decided to read touch of darkness in tandem with game of fate so that I could get both perspectives (and I do recommend doing this), and so I understand why she split them into two different books.
First, the dynamic is not abusive like fifty shades od gray
