Starter Villain by John Scalzi

A fast, fun romp that had me humming Bond themes and Austin Powers music. Which, I believe, was exactly Scalzi's intention. I enjoyed it for what it is, and for the talking cats.
Not as good as Kaiju Preservation Society, but it had me laughing and entertained, and some days that is what you want. I could have used a little more plot and character development, so hopefully Scalzi revisits this world in the future.
