Happy Singles Day by Ann Marie Walker

4.0

Paige has everything - a successful career, a gorgeous apartment, a great life, but no man to spend it with. When she heard about Singles Appreciation Day, she decides to celebrate by taking a weeklong vacation to a quiet beach town. When she gets there she checks into a bed and breakfast that hasn’t been used in years. The owner, Lucas, is a widow and hasn’t had the heart to have guests since his wife died. Until now, and only because it was his sister’s doing. After spending a week together, will these two people realize what they’ve been missing while living the single life?

First of all, any romance that involves puppies is an automatic win in my opinion. This book was that right amount of sweet and cute with the perfect mix of sassy banter thrown in there. Although Lucas drove me crazy with his grumpiness in the beginning, it didn’t take me long to love the idea of Lucas and Paige as a couple and I was rooting for them. The last few chapters of the book, I was sitting there with a big cheesy smile on my face. This is such a sweet romance.
