Pyramids by Terry Pratchett
3.25
adventurous medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Plot
Strong character development: No
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: Yes
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

I liked the Douglas Adams-ishness of it all, and the parts in Ankh-Morpork were fun (as they always are), but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth whenever Pratchett comments on non-European cultures, especially ones that were previously colonized by the British. I also didn't love the Ptraci/Teppic dynamic, especially because
a) they were half-siblings, and both the narration and the characters seem to forget that partway through (even though it seemed clear to me that the characters knew), and b) Ptraci was entirely missing from the climax of the story
