Oof. I struggled with this one. The first 1/4 was so promising and funny and then it just kept dragging on and on. So many different tropes were thrown in and I got so frustrated at the repeated phrasing (I.e. “his deep voice”, “big blue eyes) to describe the characters. Like please try different descriptive words. We get it. His eyes are blue. 😮💨
The sex scenes were cringey and not believable. The dialogue was stilted and forced. I felt like this could’ve been a great 100-150 page novella but there’s so much filler, nothing made sense.
I almost DNF’d but persevered and cringed my way through it. Probably not going to be picking up any others from this series.
