i decided to switch up from all my fantasy reads and go for a murder mystery read. and it was SO GOOD.
i had previously listened to my friend talk about a good girl's guide to murder a few months ago when she was looking for the sequel. she had talked about how good the book was then and it had piqued my interest. naturally, i decided to pick up the book as well. it did not disappoint.
a good girl's guide to murder was fast-paced, tense and adventurous as i was sucked into the world of pippa ambrose-fitz. the book delivered the murder mystery genre so well as i finished the book within two seatings, eager to know what was on the next page. it was thrilling and mysterious and sort of gave me a reading high.
the murder mystery was so well-planned i really have to give holly jackson all my praise. throughout the book, i was left wondering who and what happened to andie bell and sal singh. moreover, as the list of suspects grew, i brainstormed even harder as i tried to piece together the mystery.
i loved the characters in the book! they balanced the book so well, keeping it a somewhat lighthearted read despite its themes. additionally, i think the romance between ravi and pip was so cute but i was glad that it wasn't the main focus of the book.
overall, a good girl's guide to murder was a perfect mix of thrilling mystery and budding love that is sure to get anyone out of a reading slump :)
