It took me way too long to finish this, because I kept forgetting I was reading it (plus I'm still in an all-consuming reading slump), but I finally did it! And I'm actually pleasantly surprised? This was so much fun, and I really loved the relationship between Navaya and Xander and the way they acted around each other. There was no "I've been in love with you for years" like in other best friends to lovers stories; instead, they genuinely didn't start developing feelings for each other until after they hooked up. Which was really refreshing to read, not gonna lie.
It did develop a little too quickly, and there was some miscommunication and misunderstanding that was annoying, but overall, this was possibly one of the best novellas I've ever read!
