This was an interesting re-read. Ilona Andrews owes a lot to Jayne Castle’s series. I see a lot of similarities between this world and the Hidden Legacy series. While this is sci-fi romance, and Andrews’ is fantasy/magic, this feels like a 2000-era precursor to that series.
