Death by Toilet Paper by Donna Gephart
3.0

Before his father died of cancer, Benjamin promised him that he would take care of his mother. They developed a plan to be able to make it without his father's paycheck: his mom would pass her CPA exams and get a higher paying job at an accounting firm. But before she can pass the last test, they are behind on the rent and their landlord is threatening to evict them. Benjamin normally enters sweepstakes and keeps hoping to win a grand prize, but in the mean time has to resort to some other drastic measures. When his ailing grandfather moves in with them, Benjamin is even more concerned. Can they scrape together the cash to keep them in the apartment? And more importantly, can he keep his promise to his dad?
