The Weight of Blood by Tiffany D. Jackson
4.0
Im torn between ratings right now. I absolutely loved the beginning. I loved that it was told podcast style. I also enjoyed the romance with Kenny and Maddy. It was cute to me them coming together and realizing they are more alike. I also didn’t mind the multiple povs.
Now for why im torn (spoilers ‼️)
The ending felt really sped up. We are being told what happened instead of being in Maddys head and shown whats going on in the moment. We also don’t really get justice because the main bully/racist walks away basically scott free with only an arm missing.
The ending felt drawn out but also not long enough. I was hoping to get an ending with Maddys pov. Overall I would definitely recommend this book. I enjoyed it but it was missing the thriller moments and was lacking a little bit
