I think I would have appreciated this book a little bit more if I knew more about Chinese Mythology because Zhao Yunlan came through a series on understandings that I failed to see based on them, the action parts were kinda dull in this book as well and there were parts that honestly felt extremely anticlimactic, Ghost Face was such a tragic character, I know the main couple are "the important ones" but man, he was done dirty but the narrative.
There's also some loopholes that are bothering me A LOT, like Who took Lin Jing all the way to the goddamned tree and why? And Guo Chancheng's existence...
I liked the book, love the main couple but I think the book needed a little more editing
