The Forsaken
by Lisa M. Stasse
Spoiler Alert...
This book is somewhat reminiscent of the hunger games trilogy but uniquely different. I liked the technological advances of the feelers and barrier walls in comparison to other dystopian literature.
The forsaken seems much more realistic; I can see a government situation like the one mentioned, happening in the future. It's very reminiscent of fascism and forced governments. I really enjoyed the protagonist's desire stay alive, even though she had no real hunting or fighting skills. I am looking forward to book two, although I pine for the loss of the male love interest. Did she have to kill him off?
