Kind of wish I had read the comic before watching the show but oh well! For me it's hard to separate what I LOVE about the show and what's different in the comics. The comic is a lot more fast-paced, covering in a few issues what the show stretched out into a whole first season.
But I did give this a fair chance to stand on its own! (Even though I do prefer the show, I won't lie). This is a really cool comic though. I would give the art a 5/5, the plot a 3/5, and the writing a 4/5. I'll settle around 3.5 stars for the overall rating. I definitely want to pick up the other volumes, seeing as the show is so different already it probably won't be too spoilery.
