I adored this book. It has it all, including (but not limited to) a strong and fun overall story, meaningful major and minor plot lines, a wonderful cast of characters, and beautiful relationship building. When I was reading, I could not put this book down, and when I was not reading, all I could think about was when I would next be able to do so. I could not get enough, and as I was approaching the end, I found myself always looking at how many pages I had left because I did not want the story to be done. I loved watching January and Gus reconnect and grow with each other. The author did such a phenomenal job of presenting both of their perspectives even with a first person narrative. I would sympathize with January and be frustrated alongside her and want answers from Gus, and then, the situation would be completely explained and diffused, and I would understand Gus's side as well (and fall in love with him all over again). The banter, build up, and spice was *insert chef's kiss here*. Overall, a story that was sheer perfection from beginning to end!
