On the Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta
5.0

Oh my god I finished about 1.5 minutes ago and I am kind of emotionally unstable. I didn't see any of the ending to this book coming and it hooked me from the start. I think the only beef I have with it is that the first half of it was really confusing. But you then hit a point where everything begins making sense and I just had my mind blown. I don't have real words, I'm crying right now.

Update: Now that I can form coherent sentences, I would like to say that this books is beautifully written. I went into it completely blind and even though I spent the first 35% of the book rather confused, I continued to want to read it. The way that Marchetta writes is captivating enough to get you to the point where everything clicks and you fall for the characters and need to know more. I saw no flaws with the plot and the characters were realistic enough to paint pictures in your mind. It felt like you were with them, fighting this war, cracking sarcastic jokes. It was incredible and I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a not so cheesy young adult book.
