Whew, what a wild ride. As usual, the beginning and end of this book was crazy--so much happening, so much changing, excitement in every scene. The middle.......not as much. Poppy loves her endless conversations, sexy times, and...interesting coping style (aka she just brushes past big info and focuses on tiny info). It is painfully obvious that JLA did not mean to make this a six-book series, and is legitimately making things up as she goes along. And don't get me started on the names that have to be close enough to the normal way but also ~unique~. But I can't pretend that I didn't enjoy a good portion of this book. Yes, most of my jaw dropping was more of the "what the hell is happening?? this makes no sense" variety, but some of it was genuinely fun. I went into this book not intending to continue under any circumstances, and I'm leaving it wanting to read the next book, and excited to see what happens!
