True Devotion to Mary: With Preparation for Total Consecration by Louis de Montfort
5.0
On April 8, 2018, I was formally received into the Catholic Church. It has been over a year since then and while I am still learning and growing, I have found so much spiritual fulfillment in Jesus and His Church that I am upset that I didn't do this years ago.
This book, which focuses on consecrating ourselves to Jesus through the Blessed Virgin Mary, is one of those books that changed my spirituality. Saint Louis de Montfort, one of the saints most devoted to Mary, opened my eyes to her in ways that I have never thought possible. If, like me, you are Catholic and are thinking of doing a total consecration, there are different routes you can take (such as 33 Days to Morning Glory) but this is the original method and I highly highly recommend it.
Though I am "finished" with this book, it is not a book you just read and put away. It is meant to be revisited yearly, and the second half of the book is all the practical stuff you do for this method. So I might be reading this again next year. We will see.
