The Beauty, Volume 1 by Jeremy Haun, Jason A. Hurley

Beauty is one of those wonderful stories that makes you question your morals as much as it entertains you. In the universe created by Haun, Hurley and Rauch, physical perfection is just one STD away. But like most "too good to be true" things, turns out that there's a major dark side to infecting yourself with a disease that makes you beautiful. The story pits two detectives, Kara Vaughn and Drew Foster, against a web of deceit which they must unravel in order to find out what's causing the beautiful to die in a blaze of glory. It's a fascinating premise that doesn't deliver quite as well on its villains as it does its heroes but nonetheless presents a very interesting and compelling story which kept me glued to the page from beginning to end.
