Southern Storm by Natasha Madison

5.0

Book three in the series has all the intensity and frustration as well as the heartache and some 'awwww' moments. You may not like Savannah much, if you've read book one (Southern Chance) but now we get her side of the story, and trust me, she gets her redemption. While this can be read as a stand alone (each book features a different couple,) I would highly suggest you read Southern Chance first, as her character is introduced and we get the start of her and Beau's (the Hero) story. Book two (Southern Comfort) doesn't feature the two characters much (and wouldn't necessarily need to be read to prior, but it ends with the beginning of this book. This a beautiful story, even if you want to grind your teeth at all the junk that goes on. It's a bit of a bully romance, though the Hero is not the bully, but quite literally, the HERO. Savannah is a strong woman, but there are cracks in her armor. Beau is a good, kind man, who will do anything to help his best friend... even after he finds out she's been lying to him for years. Well written and reads easily. Alternates POVs. There is some sexual content. Some of the contents are a bit disturbing to hear, though not what I would call dark. This is definitely a tension filled read, but a good read at that.
