Dacia Wolf & the Prophecy by Mandi Oyster

At the beginning of the book, the story is described as a "magical coming of age fantasy novel" and I couldn't summarize it better myself. This story had all the elements you expect from the genre: friendships, discovering who you are, good versus evil, prophecies. The writing was fluent and the characters were interesting. In general, I felt like the story came across as a bit younger than I would have expected, with the main character being in college. Nevertheless, this did not prevent me from having a good time and to be drawn into the story (to be fair, the first scene even spooked me out a bit…I am terrified of fire). If you are looking to discover an exciting new YA fantasy series by an indie author, you might want to check this one out!
