Wayward Son by Rainbow Rowell

5.0

Wayward Son is a book I was completely unprepared for, emotionally. I was completely slapped in the face by how different the tone of this book is when compared to Carry On. I thought I would like it less than the predecessor, but I quickly grew attached to it. Rowell writes love so clearly that I feel as if I'm looking directly into the character's hearts. This is definitely a book about love. Sure, we're in the United States with vampires, but love is the underlying theme. And honestly, what's a Rainbow Rowell book without love?

I highly recommend this to anybody who has read Carry On.

Yeah. This book still hurts. But I also feel healed at the same time. I don't know! Book 3 now, though.
