Something's Witchy by Sierra Spencer

5.0

Spice Level: 3/5, a couple of mildly descriptive scenes / dreams

The lore, and levels of world build in this read is fantastic. When I first picked this up I was thinking paranormal cozy mystery but this book isn't clean, so beware going in there's going to be on screen sex scenes.

The Castillo sisters are well written characters, they have so much depth, heart ache and magic. I love how the story pulls you through with giving more back story and explanations as you get deeper into the mystery. I didn't expect the culprit at all, and was surprised at a few of the twists in the end.

I can't wait to read the next installment *hopefully* this will be a series! I need more between Declan and Carolina. Their story needs to evolve into more mystery solving, and such.

As the the climax came into view I was on the edge of my seat. There were many points where I didn't think the main characters were going to make it, and hoped with everything that my favorite characters would make it out of -well- hell. It's a ride.

You're going to love this book if you enjoyed practical magic, it very much has the vibes of that series. Deep seeded assumed hate of what's different, long running magical lines and customs.
