The Wren in the Holly Library
by K.A. Linde
This book started off so strong and I was immediately hooked. The dynamic between Kierse and Graves had that classic enemies tension I love and it was honestly one of my favorite parts. The whole thing with the Druids and their rivalry with Graves made the world feel really interesting and set up a lot of potential.
But... I kinda lost interest halfway through. The middle part dragged for me and it felt like the plot didn’t really move forward. Then suddenly everything sped up and felt a little rushed near the end, which made it hard to stay fully invested. I will say the dystopian feel and the monster aspects were super cool though.
