Like book one, the ending was not what I expected, and I suspect book three, like book two, will not give me the previous ending I sought. The end lacked a climax. No conflict from opposing characters, just secrets uncovered and an unspecified change seemed to be made. Way too open ended. Still, it was an interesting world with fully formed characters and a good read.
