The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson

5.0

“My behavior is nonetheless, deplorable. Unfortunately, I'm quite prone to such bouts of deplorability--take for instance, my fondness for reading books at the dinner table.”

This book made me feel so nostalgic while re reading it. I can't even tell anyone how much I missed Kelsier, Vin, Elend, Sazed and all of the crew members. Brandon Sanderson is one of my favorite authors of all times. His books are just too amazing.

“How do you 'accidentally' kill a noble man in his own mansion?"
"With a knife in the chest. Or, rather, a pair of knives in the chest...”

In this book we follow Kelsier, a Mistborn- someone who could swallow and burn different types of metals to obtain different kinds of power. For instance burning tin gives you an enhanced eyesight. Kelsier used to be a skaa before the beginning of the book. But he was also a part of some type of thieving crew. So when he and her wife were caught and thrown in the pits of Hathsin (pray to God that you're never thrown there), and his wife died because of the Lord Ruler (who ruled the Final Empire), Kelsier vowed to kill him. Therefore this book contains the story of how a skaa who turned out to be a Mistborn in a very grave situation, brought an end to the rule of the Lord Ruler.

“He smiled despite the grief he felt at the deaths of his men; he smiled because that was what he did. That was how he proved to the Lord Ruler-and to himself-that he wasn't beaten.”

But Kelsier is just one of the main characters in this book. While reading this book you'll notice that each and every character plays an important character in this book or the rest of the books in the series. This series is perfect for the fans of SIX OF CROWS. Yes believe me. You need-
* A crew? You have it.
* Lovable characters? You have it.
* A heist/plan to murder the most important person in the world? You have it.
* Book full of revenge? Yes.
* A lot of action? Yes.
* One of the main characters dead? Sadly yes (I'm not even over his/her death)
* Main characters having troubled past? Yessss!
