Fifty Shades Darker
by E.L. James
This is the second book in the Fifty Shades Trilogy. The first book left you with a cliff hanger, and this book takes up where the last leaves off. These books are addicting! I have a book crush on Christian (Fifty)! There is repetition in this book also, with certain phrases, however it doesn't take away from the story. There is a growing intimacy in this book, and the sex scenes are plentiful. This book is even better than the last book, if that is even possible. The characters in the book really grow throughout the story. As everyone now knows Christian is a Dom, so there are some BDSM elements, but nothing so severe that you need to shy away from this book. Also, Ana isn't submissive, and is new at all of the sexual aspects of their relationship, so it makes it easier to read. It's definitely not too extreme. Christian and Ana still email each other throughout the story, which I really like, especially when they add to their signatures. Christian is more "hearts and flowers" in this story, which is so sweet! Ana's two inner characters are still with us in this tale, which I love. Her subconscious and inner goddess are too funny! There is a cliff hanger at the end of this book as well, so you will have to get book 3, Fifty Shades Freed! This is more one long story than three separate stories, and should not be read alone.
