I really loved this book! Maddie is a twenty-something trying to figure out her life. She has some challenges - her mother is absent most of the year in Ghana and she may or may not have a new boyfriend, even though she's still married! Her brother lives in London but never shows up. And Maddie is the main caretaker, with a paid nurse, for her father who has a degenerative disease. I was cheering for Maddie the whole book as she navigates roommates and jobs and terrible bosses. She doesn't always make good choices, but I loved her the whole way through. I especially loved the mother-daughter dynamics that were explored; felt very true to life! It was well-written and engaging, and I highly recommend!
