Priestdaddy by Patricia Lockwood

5.0

Patricia Lockwood is one of my favorite poets, and I saw a lot in this memoir that reminded me of her poetry. I think she sometimes veers toward focusing on the absurd or the humorous (which is sometimes good) and avoids lingering in places that are very serious and, if touched on just a bit longer, could be incredibly moving. That being said, I laughed out loud multiple times and really appreciated, in particular, her critiques of the church.
