I was really enjoying this book right up until the end. The ending was very unsatisfying. I'm not exactly sure what direction the author should have taken, just that this one left me feeling blah about the rest of the book. The writing is good, the story interesting. I enjoyed Beth as the narrator of the story that involves four people. She had a level of detachment that worked to move the story along. I liked all the main characters. Though I think their flaws were dealt with in mostly a superficial way. It would have been nice if the book had dug a little deeper into their thoughts and motivations. The reader is left drawing a lot of our own conclusions.
