The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman

5.0

Okay, so funny story. I tried reading this when I was ten, and I absolutely hated it. I couldn't get past the language for some reason. Fast forward to when I'm in my teens, and I absolutely fell in love with Philip Pullman's story. I really want to get into the other books in the series, because I love how the world of the adults and the world of children weave in and out of the story. It's great use of PoV and suspense and all that good stuff.

Looking to read it again and give a more detailed review, but for now, it still has a place in my heart.
