Sarah Dessen always delivers precisely what you expect in the best way possible. I didn't love this one as much as some of her others but the Dirty Dancing resort vibes and "wrong side of the lake" energy was perfect for this early fall read as I was already starting to miss the days of summer on my own family compound on a lake. Precisely as charming as you would expect. 3.5 stars.
