“All endings are also beginnings. We just don't know it at the time.”

The book started off with an ending. Eddie’s death. But like all endings it was also a beginning. A beginning of his afterlife. The concept of the book is that everyone meets five different people after they die and they explain certain happenings of their life. Those people could be strangers to the person or people that he knew before. However, they all have one thing in common which is an influence they had on the deceased person’s life.

The book was interesting at some parts. It was also filled with quotes. However they did feel forced at most times and not any of them stuck with me. I loved Eddie and Margeruite’s story. It was warm and very beautiful. It reminded me very much of Ove and Sonya’s story from A Man Called Ove. Both men were tough and stubborn because of the life they had and both of them met with women that made them a little bit softer.
